Creating a clearance group

When you've found dead stock worth clearing, SkuVitals can gather those products into a clearance group — a Shopify collection — so you can act on them together.

What "Create clearance collection" does

From the Action center, select the products you want to clear and choose Create clearance collection. SkuVitals:

1. Creates a manual (custom) collection in your Shopify admin, and
2. Adds the selected products to it.

It does not apply any discounts or change any prices. It only groups the products. You then set prices, run a sale, or apply a discount in Shopify however you like — you stay in full control of pricing.

The clearance group is also remembered as an exclusion for dead-stock analysis, so products you've already moved into clearance don't keep showing up as new dead stock.

Bulk tagging

You can also bulk-tag selected products (for example, to mark them "clearance" or "review"). SkuVitals adds a tag of the form Prefix: your label — the prefix is SkuVitals by default and can be changed (or emptied) in Settings. Tagging is additive and safe to re-run; it never removes your existing tags.
