Getting started
SkuVitals analyses your Shopify catalog and inventory to surface dead stock, slow movers, and catalog-health problems — so you can find the money sitting on your shelves and the data-quality issues hurting your listings.
What happens when you install
- Connect. When you add SkuVitals, it connects to your store automatically — no setup steps.
- First sync. SkuVitals immediately begins importing your catalog in the background: products, then inventory levels, then a sales history used only to measure how fast things sell. Larger catalogs take longer.
- First analysis. As soon as the sync finishes, SkuVitals computes your inventory-health metrics and runs your first catalog-health scan automatically — you don't have to trigger it.
- Choose a plan. SkuVitals asks you to pick a plan before the dashboard unlocks. Your catalog is already syncing while you choose, so everything is ready the moment you subscribe. You can watch sync progress right on the Plans page.
Your first look
Once you're subscribed, the Dashboard summarises your inventory value, value at risk, and catalog health. From there:
- Inventory breaks down aging stock and dead/slow movers, with charts and per-row actions.
- Catalog health lists data-quality issues (missing images, duplicate SKUs, and more) with a score per product.
- Action center collects the dead stock worth acting on, so you can tag it or group it for clearance.
- Reports lets you preview and export any dataset to CSV.
- Settings lets you tune the thresholds and rules SkuVitals uses (see the score articles).
Keeping data fresh
SkuVitals keeps itself up to date automatically: it listens for product, inventory, and order changes, reconciles your catalog nightly to catch anything missed, and re-scores catalog health on a schedule. You can also run a catalog scan manually from the Catalog health page (how often depends on your plan).
