Data & privacy FAQ
This is a plain-language summary of how SkuVitals handles data. For the full policies, see our Privacy Policy and Data Retention Policy.
Does SkuVitals store my customers' personal information?
No. SkuVitals does not store customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, or shipping/billing addresses. To measure how fast products sell, it reads order line items and keeps only aggregate per-variant totals (units and sales over trailing windows) — it requests no customer fields from Shopify and never writes raw orders to its database.
What data does it store, then?
Your store profile (domain, name, the store contact email Shopify provides, currency, timezone), your catalog and inventory (products, variants, stock levels), the health scores and issues it computes, and your settings and subscription. It also stores your Shopify access token, encrypted at rest, so it can talk to your store — and that token is never written to logs.
Is my data mixed with other stores'?
No. Every store's data is isolated — SkuVitals only ever reads and writes data scoped to your store.
How is my store kept secure?
Every message Shopify sends SkuVitals (a "webhook") is cryptographically verified before it's trusted, access tokens are encrypted, and personal data and tokens are scrubbed from logs and error reports.
Can I get my data or a data-processing agreement?
Yes — contact support (see the Privacy Policy) to request your store data or a DPA.
